Let's Get Started - Getting started and becoming an official is much easier than generally thought. The Members of SLOA take great pride in welcoming, orientating and training our new members. Follow these simple steps by using the link buttons and you are on your way!

Step One  - Join St. Louis Officials Association - by joining our association you will be assisted in each step of becoming a licensed official and welcomed into our association with all the privileges and resources available.

Step Two  - Register for your Officiating License with MSHSAA (Missouri State High School Activities Association) - They will send you the books and information you will need for the on-line tests (open book) and receiving your MSHSAA# and Patch. In addition, there is an annual one hour rules meeting (all officials and available on-line), and two hour mechanics meeting (1-3 year officials) requirement as well. If you do not aspire to do MSHSAA (High School) Games you may skip this step.

Step Three - Register for our ODP - If you are a new or inexperienced official, register for our Official Development Program (ODP). If you are an experienced official, or are new to the area or state, then this step may not be required. SLOA currently offers ODP for Football, Basketball & Volleyball.

Step Four  - Get equipped - visit our get equipped page and note the discounts available to our members.
